New Member information

 

New Members are always welcome to come join us at the Murray Districts Pistol Club.

We have regular meets on Sundays starting 9.30am and on Tuesday evenings at 6.00pm.

New members are advised to be there 20 minutes early.

The range is only open to the public during these times. All other times are by arrangement 

only.

Training & Safety

Like all sports Pistol shooting has many rules and regulations to adhere to providing one of the safest sports in Australia. New club members are supervised and instructed by a qualified Club instructor. During this initial introduction new members learn safety, club rules, range rules and how to shoot instruction. No firearms or ammunition is kept on the premises. To apply for a “club use only” West Australian Firearms Licence you must;

  • Be a financial member of an approved pistol club.
  • Completed 6 months training at an approved club.
  • Passed the Police Firearms Awareness Test.
  • Provide a club support, W.A.P.A. support documents to apply (1st application has a 21day cooling off period).
  • WA Police approved safe firearm storage.
